Barrett Transitional Home
... is a "24/7" facility designed to
break the cycle of homelessness for single women.
The women we serve have nowhere to live for many reasons:
underemployment, unemployment, bad credit, abuse, and addiction, or
unable to work while pregnant, and not being supported by family or
the baby’s father. Barrett Transitional Home provides a
safe haven for those women to recover.
We believe that women heal most deeply from these traumas through
active education, training and full-time employment to become
self-sufficient, independent and healthy contributors to our
community.
The rebuilding process is gradual because the traumas were
violent and horrifying. The ultimate results of our efforts are
glorious.
